By clearing a firebreak, it acts as a barrier to stop the process of a bushfire or wildfire. In some cases, firebreak clearing is required by law.
Scrub clearing preserves soil integrity and quickly removes stumps, bushes, weeds, and debris by use of a machine. In comparison, block clearing is used to clear almost all vegetation on a block for development. Whereas scrub clearing is done with a poly-track. This places importance on mechanical teetering. Often times scrub clearing clears out the entire understory of a given area as well.
